Menopause is a line in the sand that can be the spur to a change of life outlook. If ever there was a time to reflect on your health and lifestyle this is it. Most midlife women have developed a wide range of skills in managing their own and others’ lives. Now it’s time to put those skills to good use: to develop a life pattern that suits you, for the realisation of your dreams and your inner potential.
Fundamental to a rich and rewarding change of life journey is the nurturing of all aspects of our health. Weaving the tapestry of a balanced and healthy lifestyle is an artful process, that each of us must develop in our own way.
We must pay careful and caring attention to our bodies. This means sufficient physical activity, a healthful and not excessive diet, regular practice of moment-to-moment awareness and fostering a confident self-image.

Merriam-Webster.com online Free Dictionary
Midlife is a time of transition and journeying, so it’s important that you give yourself enough space for reflection and adjustment. Grant yourself the time to take stock and gather your resources for the years to come. Solitude and exploring your creativity can be pathways for this inner journey as you change your life in your own way.
Many women find that as they traverse their middle years, their confidence grows and they develop a no-nonsense, go-do-it, approach to life that would have surprised or even frightened their own younger selves. This transformation can be smooth and trouble-free but may also bring conflicts and turbulence, as relationships adjust and circumstances evolve.
There is no single map that can cover all our individual pathways of discovery. But finding soul mates, exploring our creative urges and restoring our connection with the natural world can help to provide the support and direction we need.
Remember that old 60s song “Turn, Turn, Turn” by the Byrds? Now reflect on your change of life:
Whichever paths you choose, it will be your own unique journey. As you grow inwardly, take a good look at who you are and who you are becoming.
Allow yourself to breathe, grow and flourish as you transition through these valuable midlife years … it’s your time.
